ENGAGE VULNERABLE YOUTH
The Instructional Access, Inc. Youth Conference is a fully immersive learning experience for “under-resourced” vulnerable youth and young adults. The three to four-day program is technology-based and includes interactive social events along with recreational activities. The conference invites students to engage in hands-on activities designed to improve their skills in several key areas. As a result, participants have demonstrated improved confidence in the areas of communication, leadership, technology, entrepreneurialism, financial literacy, independent living, educational preparedness, and career readiness.
The Youth Conference is designed to explore and expand participants’ potential and opportunities and may be implemented with the following benefits:
- Fully Immersive 3 to 4-day Experience
- Instruction by Certified Teachers and Workshop Leaders with DOJ Clearances
- Conferences Held on a College Campus
- Accommodations and Meals Provided
- Interactive Social Events and Recreational Activities
Sponsoring agencies are required to provide transportation for youth, general supervision, onsite medical oversight (RN’s).

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
Hands-On Technology Experience
At the onset of the event, each youth participant is assigned new technology that will be used throughout the conference, i.e., tablet, laptop, and/or Chromebook. Conference participants also have access to other computer equipment and programs throughout the conference to work on projects and for exploring the variety of technological applications.
Youth Empowerment Experience
Workshop and activities vary based on the age and skill sets of the population. Current and former workshops and activities include Team Building, Leading From the Middle, Finding and Honing One’s Passion and Purpose, A Leader’s Voice, Power in Disruption and Chaos, My Voice Matters, Leadership Today and Tomorrow, Digital Steps and the Footprints They Create, and To Whom Much is Given.
Entrepreneurial Experience
Workshop and activities vary based on the age and skills sets of the population. The technology-based entrepreneurial curriculum is threaded throughout the conference based on the following key components: Developing a Basic Business Plan, Introduction to Basic Marketing, Basic Business Finance and Digital Marketing the Internet and Social Media.
Independent Living Skills Experience
The youth conference includes an opportunity for participants to experience online Independent Living Skills lessons. The online learning programs includes up to 139 lessons organized in the following categories: Health & Leisure, Financial Management, Career/School, Relationships, and Life Skills.
